The CAM Foundation in Action

Here's What We've Been Up To:

We kicked off the CAM Foundation in February of 2020 with an unbelievably successful dinner at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ.  Despite the challenges that COVID-19 presented to the world soon thereafter, your support has helped us make tremendous strides in the past year.  Here are a few highlights:

  • The Introduction of "Cameron's Law", co-sponsored by Congressman Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Congressman Upton (MI-6).
  • $30,000 pledged in support of Sanfilippo research.  We're proud to support Next Generation gene therapy for Sanfilippo Syndrome, being worked on at the University of North Carolina
  • Families Supported. Most recently, we were saddened to hear of the passing of a member of the Sanfilippo family.  The CAM Foundation was able to lend it's financial support to assist with costs associated with this loss.

Learn More About "Cameron's Law"

In March of 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ) announced bipartisan legislation to restore the orphan disease research tax credit.  The law was named after Cameron Hyman, the inspiration behind the CAM Foundation.
